How we score vendors
Kratom is an unregulated botanical with a documented history of adulteration and heavy-metal and salmonella contamination. That makes verifiable third-party testing the single most important thing to get right — which is why our model weights it more heavily than price. Every score is reproducible from the three factors below.
Lab testing & GMP — 45%
American Kratom Association (AKA) GMP qualification counts most, followed by whether the vendor publishes per-batch third-party Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for alkaloid content and contaminants.
Reputation — 35%
Track record, shipping reliability, customer service, and community standing over time.
Price — 20%
Value for money on per-gram and bulk-kilo pricing. Weighted lowest: a cheap vendor that can’t prove purity is not a good deal.
