Kratom Strains Explained

Strains are described by vein color and region. Vein color reflects leaf maturity and drying; region is largely a sourcing label. Below is what community sources commonly report — not medical claims.

Red Vein

Red-vein leaves are harvested most mature and are the most commonly reported for evening use and relaxation.

Green Vein

Green-vein sits between red and white — community reports commonly describe a balanced, milder profile.

White Vein

White-vein leaves are harvested earliest and are most commonly reported for daytime, energy-forward use.

Gold Vein

Yellow (sometimes called gold) is a processing/blend designation rather than a distinct vein — reports commonly describe a smooth, middle-of-the-road profile.
